What is a web 2.0 tool?
Well for starters, that is the name because that is the name. If you are like me and wondered how you missed out on the previous versions, rest assured there were no web 1.9 tools or web 1.0 tools. You’re okay.
These tools are a way to easily create content, share, and collaborate with others online, and for a 21st century teacher they are the best thing since indoor plumbing. They can be applications, platforms, or websites, and a vast majority of them are free. In the classroom, they’re usually used for a student to let their mind roam free to create an original idea or product in groups or individually, but as with anything else it is important to monitor students’ activity while using the tools. Remember: Teach with technology, don’t use technology to teach.
